I probably have more gear than I need. Ok, maybe I shouldn't say 'probably' - I definitely have more gear than I need. So lately I've been thinking about gear and trying to decide which items I consider to be essential. These 13 items have become mainstays for me because they are all well designed, durable, functional and they are all pretty cost effective. The list is in no particular order and the fact that there are 13 items has no hidden meaning either.
